- Golf: Cruit Island Golf course, with its spectacular sea views is located about five filometres from Limekiln house. Gweedore eighteen hole course is situated ten kilometres to the north.
- Fishing, Sea Angling: All year round fishing in the many surrounding lakes and rivers. Boats can be chartered for deep-sea fishing.
- Pitch and Putt: The course, situated just outside the town of Dungloe, ten kilometres from Limekiln House is a very popular with visitors.
- Walking:If you go on the nature trail at nearby Annagry you can have a panoramic view around the entire north west Donegal coastline.
- Hill Climbing: Errigal and the rest of the Derryveagh mountains are just a fifteen minute car journey away.
- Swimming: The nearby beach at Carrickfin is ideal for bathers.

- Flying Because of it's close proximity to Donegal International Airport, Limekiln House is a convenient place for Flying Enthusiasts to stay. Many members of Flying Clubs from Ireland and the UK have stayed with us over the years.
